In our 5th year, PLUS ONE continued to leverage the power of sports and entertainment to change hearts and minds by uplifting positive narratives and authentic solutions to pressing social justice issues. Gaining a better understanding of how we need to show up has been a wondrous journey of discovery.
As a purpose-driven agency, our internal culture is anchored in integrity, inspiration and intentionality. As a collective we maintain a ruthless focus in the service of others in order to uplift and advance the movement.
While impact is so much more valuable than metrics could ever describe, we still like to share the tangible results driven by our clients’ and partners’ shared goals:
- Designed and launched #MyBlackIsTheBlueprint campaign; reached over 20M and garnered $340K in digital media value.
- Provided over 40 Black-owned businesses with an NBCU Advertising Opportunity utilizing $20M of media value.
- Partnered with Imagine Justice and Carnegie Hall to host Academy Award-Winning Artist Common in concert at Sing Sing Prison
- Produced Play for Justice (Boston Celtics)
- Moderated a “Play for Justice” panel discussion featuring (formerly incarcerated) Represent Justice Ambassador Jarrett Harper, Celtics Players Malcolm Brogdon and Grant Williams on behalf of the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation; raised $3M

Our CEO and Executive Producer Kristen Renee Ingram is a proud board member of the Anti-Recidivism Coalition and we are excited to share with great joy that California has reduced its prison population and will close a second state prison in an effort to cut the state’s $14.2 billion corrections budget.
ARC works to end mass incarceration and reduce recidivism through advocacy and our comprehensive programs—both inside and outside prisons—that empower formerly incarcerated men and women to rebuild their lives. With nearly 80% system-impacted staff, they not only provide services critical to successful reentry, but also work to advocate for the closure of prisons and the development of a more equitable and just system.
